Regardless of whether it’s a business trip, an employee incentive or a team-building event, we are the only local full-service provider to offer a full range of business services. The well-established brands Verkehrsbüro Business Travel, AX Travel Management and BEasy have been bundled under the single brand Verkehrsbüro Business Services. 


Stable revenue development in a challenging environment

In 2018 and despite an intensely competitive environment characterized by increasing pressure on chargeable fees, we were nonetheless able to boost our transaction volume by 1.7% in spite of falling ticket prices. At €179.4 million, revenues in the 2018 financial year remained essentially unchanged, whereby we continue to be the undisputed Number 1 in the market. 

MICE services under a single brand

Under the new umbrella brand Verkehrsbüro MICE Services, Verkehrsbüro Group has now combined the organization of meetings, incentives, congresses and events. The MICE specialists at the Verkehrsbüro Group subsidiaries Business Travel, AX Travel Management and Austropa Interconvention now work as a single operational unit and act as a new full-service provider in the MICE segment. 

DIY for business bookers

A quarter of all business trips are now booked by travelers themselves. We have responded to this trend by developing standardized, basic packages which can be managed independently online, and which allow clients to simply select the services they need. It is also possible to put together individual ‘My Choice’ packages so that the client only needs to purchase whatever they actually require. From agent to service provider: our new, transparent pricing and offer policy makes us a real trendsetter in the domestic business travel market. We also guarantee an Austria-wide and standardized service commitment. And take our duty of care to business travel clients extremely seriously. We offer so-called traveler tracking tools, which are integrated solutions to locate travelers quickly in emergencies. Our asset: as a network partner of American Express Global Business Travel, we have access to the world’s largest travel agency network, one with offices in over 120 countries around the globe.

Mobile business travel app

In line with the digitalization trend and to accelerate several processes, 20% more was invested in new technologies in 2018 compared to 2017. The development of the VB4travel app is an example. This mobile all-rounder makes key data such as the travel itinerary or reservation confirmations readily available and also provides notifications, mobile booking options and check-ins. A centralized ticketing system for all offices was launched in 2018 and investments made in the Amadeus Selling Platform Connect. Further digital innovations are also planned for 2019, including chat bots and direct connections to third-party systems.
